L'altalena farm
L'altalena is Italian for swing. Our farm in Abruzzo is named after the swings hanging in the pine trees in our garden. Take a seat on the swing and experience an exceptional view on the Gran Sasso mountains.
Our vision is to transform a traditional mixed farm, previously focused on animals and crops, into a regenerative farm. Here, we’ll cultivate a food forest and practice regenerative horse breeding, all while embracing sustainable farming methods. We're also excited to welcome guests to our agriturismo, where they can experience the harmony of nature and learn more about our journeys.

Breeding
Sorelle Horses
Sorelle Horses is an integral part of our regenerative vision at L'Altalena Farm. We specialize in breeding showjumpers, focusing on both exceptional quality and ethical, sustainable practices. Our approach prioritizes the health and natural behaviors of our horses, allowing them to thrive in a balanced and enriched environment. Through regenerative methods, we aim to restore the land, fostering a harmonious relationship between our horses and the surrounding ecosystem. Visitors to L'Altalena Farm can experience this unique approach, connecting with our horses and learning about our commitment to sustainable breeding.
WORLD SCHOOLING
Our family went on a life-changing cycling adventure, traveling from the Netherlands to Italy with our young children. This incredible journey not only brought us closer to nature but also deepened our appreciation for learning through real-world experiences. Inspired by this, we warmly welcome families who practice worldschooling or homeschooling. At L'Altalena Farm, we offer a space where children and parents can learn from nature, connect with the land, and enjoy the freedom of learning in beautiful Abruzzo.
